Sentry Security is a growing independent Chicagoland security company.  Sentry Security specializes in the installation, service, maintenance, and monitoring of commercial solutions.  Our services include integrated security services (intrusion, access control and video), and fire alarm systems with security and 24/7 video surveillance.   Sentry’s workplace is built from day-to-day relationships with customers, colleagues, and vendors.

The ideal candidate will be a self-starter, responsible for the promotion of Sentry Security offerings and value propositions. The Senior Sales Consultant will build, cultivate, and manage long term customer partnerships to promote, drive, and increase new sales opportunities of our Security offerings, integrated systems, and services to commercial industries.

Essential Duties / Responsibilities

  • Ensure customer satisfaction and retention by listening, probing, identifying concerns, and addressing performance lapses. Maintain credibility, loyalty, trust, and commitment.
  • Engage, expand, and negotiate our sale offerings to our potential partners (assigned contractors, consulting engineers and account owners). Understand, articulate, and align our business objectives to the needs of our customers.
  • Remain abreast of potential market opportunities through sales calls, networking, and visiting customers / prospects at job sites.
  • Execute strategic plans including specific goals and action items to achieve sales.
  • Responsibly communicate and inform management of the overall account status and progress.
  • Develop and foster positive working relationships with internal operational and administrative staff to ensure customer satisfaction.

Qualified candidate must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree / Engineering preferred or equivalent experience.
  • Proven track record of sales success in the Fire/Security/CCTV, Card Access industry of five or more years.
  • Motivation, initiative, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Technical solutions and operational expertise.
  • The ability to understand industry specific trends and adapt easily to a rapidly changing environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, ability to read electronic blueprints and knowledge of the permit process.

Other Qualifications

  • Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
  • Must be able to pass background screening requirements or possess a valid IL PERC card.
  • Criminal background check is a requirement for employment.
